Thyme (Thymus vulgaris)
An analogy to ponder: time when the days are long but the years are short is to thyme where the stems are long but the leaves are short. We may have had to reach for that sprig of herbal wisdom, but the fact is that we live in a world in which we could use more of both time and thyme. Because both, in the right quantities, can fix just about anything. We could toss around these metaphors for time immemorial, but one thing is for certain: there is no thyme like the present (of thyme that you give yourself). Truth!
