Slippery Elm Bark
Description
Slippery Elm inner-bark, Ulmus rubra, is used by singers to soothe the throat. This native American species is endangered and, while harvesting the inner bark does not kill the tree, there are few trees left from which to harvest. Marshmallow Root makes a fine substitute. Save Slippery Elm for extreme moments when nothing else will do.**
Our herbs are sourced from farmers and partners who take pride in growing organically, cultivating without chemicals, or wildcrafting with care… so that what you put in your cup is vibrant and full of life!
