Kava Kava, Piper methysticum, is an important ceremonial beverage in the Pacific Islands. Despite being an expert herb in the art of relaxation, Kava is not particularly tasty. Prepare it with warm, instead of hot, water then agitate the mix for at least 5 minutes. Adding a fat- like coconut milk- will help extract Kava’s more potent properties. Strain well.**
