There are several species of Boswellia, as they grow in different parts of the world and each area has its own species. All of them are referred to as Frankincense and used very similarly in traditional and modern healing systems.

Because of the suppliers we use, we are unable to carry a consistent source of one species. As a result, it may be Boswellia serrata, Boswellia carterii, Boswellia sacra, Boswellia frereara, or Boswellia papyrifera.
