Astragalus Root (Astragalus membranaceus)
Like a good neighbor, a good book, or especially a good cup of tea, astragalus is always there for you. She is the perfectly neutral Goldilocks of herbs: not too bitter, not too sweet, but just right. This pretty pea-family plant softly wraps her healing tendrils around your core. And though you may not even notice her at first, her strength and resilience can’t be beat. The best kind of neighbor, sweetie-pea astragalus gives without expecting in return, allowing you to (*cue inhale*) breathe easy whenever she is nearby.
As for the dirt on why, how, and when to use this herb, it’s up to you to hit the books / browsers and do a little sleuthing of your own. We’ll be here for you if you need a hand – er, an herb – to hold.
