Essential Oil DIY Diffusion Guide

Essential Oils are tiny but potent bottles of plant power.

If you’re not familiar with the world of Essential Oils (and it is vast), Essential Oils are plants distilled into a strong concentrate for healing purposes. These oils are potent. For example, it takes 252,000 individual petals to craft one 5ml bottle of Rose Essential Oil. Because of this, just one drop carries so much potential!

Essential Oils are rich with anti-microbial properties and have been used for healing purposes for millennia and can be found incorporated into everyday magic, such as house cleaning, food, perfumery, and candle-making.

Additionally, Essential Oils are used in modern, plant-based treatments in aromatherapy, DIY herbal projects, to tuck into purses for healing on the go, or just to make your home smell magical.

Our Kitchen Witches put their heads together to create some blends of two to three simple Essential Oil ideas for you to try at home in your diffuser. Here are a few of our favorite easy recipes:

"Breathe Easy"

Breathe a little easier with this respiratory aid in your diffuser.

  • 3 drops Eucalyptus
  • 2 drops Black Spruce

  • "Winter Warmer"

Still hibernating and looking to stay warm and cozy.

  • 3 drops Frankincense
  • 2 drops Clove Bud (you could swap this for Cardamom or Cinnamon as well)

  • "Love Is In the Air"

Basque in some self-love with this sensual blend.

  • 3 drops Rose Otto
  • 2 drops Ylang Ylang

  • "Refresh"

This air-purifying blend is the perfect companion to your spring-cleaning regiment.

  • 3 drops Lemon Verbena
